Lesson 2 - Identifying Pattern Rules

To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about Identifying Pattern Rules, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs.

Instructions for Use

Find a Pattern lets students recognize a pattern in a table.

To use Find a Pattern,  click on the link "Find a Pattern", read the problem, listen to the explanation, and watch the animation. Click the right arrow to continue throughout the activity.

Exploring Number Sequences lets students relate number patterns to visual patterns.

To use Exploring Number Sequences, click on the correct soccor ball to complete the pattern.

Patterns lets students learn about number patterns and solve pattern puzzles.

To use Patterns, click on the "Next" button to move through the lessons and to move on to the next activity.

Matchstick Patterns lets students build and describe the shapes on a pattern strip.

To use Matchstick Patterns, click on a match and drag it into the workspace. Have students build a pattern.
