Lesson 8 - Posing Addition and Subtraction Problems
To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about Posing Addition and Subtraction Problems, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs.
Goal
Create addition and subtraction problems to fit an addition and subtraction fact.
Instructions for Use
Little Animals Activity Centre, Addition and Subtraction lets students solve addition and subtraction problems.
To use Little Animals Activity Centre, Addition and Subtraction, count the spots on the back of the ladybirds and choose the right number to complete the sum or difference.
Make It Count lets students solve addition and subtraction problems to fit an addition and subtraction fact.
To use Make It Count, select level 1 or 2 for addition, subtraction and combination questions. Find ways to use 4 numbers to match a target number exactly. All the numbers don't have to be used, but each number can only be used once. There is always more than one way to reach the target number. Click on the numbers to create an addition and/or subtraction question that will reach the target number. Press the "=" button to see students' work. Press the "Submit" button to see if the answer is correct. Press the "See Answer" button to see the correct answer.
