Instructions for Use

Subtraction lets students solve subtraction story problems.

To use Subtraction, count the number of pins that are still standing. Type the number in the text box. Click on the bowling ball or hit "Enter". If the number is correct, the ball will bowl. Continue subtracting until there are no more pins remaining. Click the "Play Again" button to start a new game.

Target Take Away lets students solve subtraction problems.

To use Target Take Away, click on the "Go" button, and a subtraction problem appears. Click on the targets under the number line. Each target that is clicked is taken away. Subtract the smaller number from the larger one, by clicking on the smaller number of targets. Input the answer in the text box, and click the target button for a new question.
