Lesson 9 - Representing Numbers Greater than 20

To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about Representing Numbers Greater than 20, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs.

Model numbers from 20 to 30.

 

Instructions for Use

 

Count, Represent, and Recognize Numbers 0-31 lets students model numbers to 31.

To use Count, Represent, and Recognize Numbers 0-31, click on the link. Have students watch and listen to the animations. When a screen is completed, click the arrow at the bottom of the page and move to the next screen.

 

Counter Square lets students model numbers from 20 to 30 on a hundreds chart.

To use Counter Square, click the "Make Counters" button to create multi-coloured counters. Have students drag and drop counters onto the grid for the numbers between 20 and 30. Click "Ideas" for suggestions on how to use counters on the grid.
